SAIL BELLARINE 2025 – ON LAND VOLUNTEERS

7 Apr by Peter Ellenby

Hi Sailors, Families and Friends

We need ON-LAND volunteers to help us make this event a repeat of the tremendous success of the last few years! On-land volunteers are vital to the smooth running of Sail Bellarine!

The countdown is ON! Just 4 weeks to go!

Below is a list of specific jobs to put your hand up for. We’re hoping that IHYC sailors, their families and friends will all do something to make this event the resounding success it deserves to be! You can volunteer for as many jobs as you like! You will be part of a TEAM and it will be FUN!

This is a general rundown as to how things will go:

• There will be up to 80 boats competing in this great event
• Competitors will be arriving Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday morning.
• Volunteers will direct traffic into the club rigging areas
• Volunteers will take boats off trailers and wheel them to designated spots, so competitors can drive away quickly and make room for others.
• Registration will be electronic in the IH Community Hall (Saturday 9.30-11.45am)
• Pizzas (pre-ordered tickets) Friday night
• Buffet dinner (pre-ordered tickets) Saturday night
• Live music
• Good coffee
• Scouts providing breakfasts and lunches both days and sausage sizzle on Saturday
• Sausage sizzle on Sunday
• There will be a drying room for wet gear

Sounds good, doesn’t it!
